Stono is a mobile application that turns ordinary stones into interactive objects for gaming and social interaction. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use this app and our services at stono.app.

• Stones: Photos you take of stones, descriptions, names, and unique codes assigned to your stones.
• Location: GPS coordinates when you hide or find stones, to display on the map and track stone journeys.
• Social activity: Comments, likes, ratings, follows, and content you share in the community feed.
• Subscriptions: Payment information is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not store or access your payment details.
• Device: Device type, OS version, and app usage for analytics and crash prevention.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve the Stono app (create stones, find stones, map, journey tracking)
• Enable community features (feed, comments, likes, ratings, follow activity)
• Send notifications (likes, comments, finds of your stones)
• Process subscriptions and manage your account
• Ensure security and prevent abuse

Marketing use of stone photos: Photos of stones you take and publish in the app may be used by us for marketing—on our website (stono.app), social media, and promotional materials—without additional consent. By using Stono, you agree to this. The app allows only stone photos; photos of people (faces, full figures) are not allowed. A hand holding a stone is acceptable. To opt out or request removal of your photos from our marketing, contact info@stono.app.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• Google / Apple: For authentication when you sign in with these providers.
• App Store / Play Store: For subscription billing and app distribution.
• Map providers: To display stone locations and journeys.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain it for legal or operational reasons.
