1. Acceptance
By using Stono, you agree to these Terms of Service. Stono is a mobile app that turns stones into interactive objects—combining geocaching, social features, and collecting. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Account
You can sign up with Google or Apple ID. You are responsible for keeping your account secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old (or have parental consent).
3. Using Stono
When using Stono you agree to:
- Create stones responsibly: draw, photograph, get a unique code, write the code and stono.app on the back, hide in public-appropriate places
- When you find a stone: register it in the app by code, then re-hide it in a new location
- Respect others: no harassment, spam, or harmful content in comments or elsewhere
- Publish only stone photos: photos of people (faces, full figures) are not allowed. A hand holding a stone is fine.
- Follow local laws when hiding or finding stones (e.g. respect private property, parks rules)
4. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Use the app for illegal purposes
- Post offensive, abusive, or illegal content
- Impersonate others or create fake accounts
- Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service
- Hide stones in dangerous or prohibited locations
- Post photos of people (faces, full figures). Only stone photos are allowed—a hand in frame is acceptable.
5. Subscriptions
Stono offers a free tier and a paid subscription (monthly or yearly). There is no free trial. Subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play. You can cancel anytime. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies.
6. Content & Marketing Use
You retain ownership of your content (photos, descriptions). By posting, you grant us a license to use, display, and store it to operate the service. We may remove content that violates these terms.
Marketing license: By using Stono, you agree that photos of stones you take and publish in the app may be used by us for marketing—on our website, social media, and promotional materials—without separate permission. The app allows only stone photos; photos of people (faces, full figures) are not allowed. A hand holding a stone is acceptable. You may opt out or request removal by contacting info@stono.app.
7. Disclaimer
Stono is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Hiding and finding stones involves outdoor activity—you participate at your own risk. We are not liable for injuries, property damage, or disputes between users.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
